St. Martin's Cathedral in Mainz is the start of a special hiking trail with impressive views. On six easy stages, you hike through many idyllic wine villages on the beautiful route to your destination of Worms, 75 km away.

Hiwweltouren

Hiwwel means hills - and the nine "Hiwwelt tours" take you over them. Perfectly signposted circular hikes that are easily accessible from Mainz. 

Rhine Cycle Route

At over 1,200 km, the Rhine Cycle Route is one of the longest cycle routes in Europe. Probably the most popular stage leads from Mainz to Cologne. Without any inclines and of course with great views of the Rhine and nature.
