Info-Vinotheque

Mainz is the official German wine capital and belongs to the Great Wine Capitals network - the eleven most prestigious wine cities in the world. It is therefore not surprising that a vinotheque can be found in the newly opened mainz STORE. The wine region of Rhine Hesse invites you to experience the world of wine and winemaking firsthand, directly in the surrounding areas of the state capital Mainz.

A window display showcasing the entire variety of wine from Rhine Hesse is intended to open in the Info-Vinotheque located in the heart of the state capital. Every month there is a different "Vintner of the Month" from the winegrowing areas of Ahr, Middle Rhine, Moselle, Nahe, Rhein Hesse, or the Palatinate. They make a guest appearance in the mainz STORE and sometimes even present their wines in person with wine and Sekt tastings on site.

The Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter, VDP, (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates) is also involved in the Info-Vinotheque. Anyone who is truly fascinated by wine cannot miss out on bottles with a VDP eagle, as the renowned VDP label indicates incredibly high quality from authentic wine personalities. The VDP's wine eagle brings together around 200 of the best German wine products.

Various types of wine - some chilled - from vineyards in Rhein Hesse and its surrounding areas can be purchased in the mainz STORE vinotheque.
