Mainz wine producers' association

Mainzer Winzer e.V., the local wine producers' association, organises many events to promote local wine where consumers can get to know the people who make the best tipples in the region. Every Saturday, the association has its own stall at the weekly market in the city centre. During the famous Johannisnacht Festival in Mainz on Saint John's Eve (23 June), the association runs wine villages at Domplatz and Leichhof. In spring and autumn, the "Best of Mainzer Wein" award is presented in the foyer of the City Hall. At all these events, people can find out more about local wine and are invited to taste and enjoy the precious tipples.
