What was Johannes Gutenberg's real name? How old is the city of Mainz? 
We follow the historical traces and learn about the history and historians in an entertaining way during the 2-hour city rallye through downtown Mainz.  

Please remember to bring writing materials and note that if there are several groups, each tour guide will use his or her own elaborated rallye and these may differ slightly from each other.

Duration: 1,5 hours

Price with guide: 130€ for up to 30 people

Also possible on your own terms without a guide: 15€ for 15 Quiz sheets with separate solutions

We find out where he lived and worked, who gave him money, and who almost robbed him of his success. We marvel at the famous Bible in the Gutenberg Museum and experience a printing demonstration at the press.

Please note that it will not be possible to visit the Gutenberg Museum as part of this tour from October 7 until probably the end of November due to the museum's relocation.

In order to participate, you have to pick up our City & Quest bag from the Tourist Service Center in Mainz. This includes the equipment needed to solve the puzzles.

City & Quest is a great opportunity to explore Mainz as a stranger to the city and learn something new about the city in the process, but there are still exciting things to discover as a "Meenzer boy or Meenzer girl".
