During this tour through the city, you will learn a lot about the history of Carnival in Mainz - for Mainzer citizens, Meenzers and “foreigners”. When did the people of Mainz celebrate Carnival for the first time? What is meant by the "break-in" and what did the first order look like? Accompany us from the carnival fountain to the theatre in the old town to the Frankfurter Hof, Kirschgarten, and Bockshöfchen. We will end this tour at the Mainz Carnival Museum.
