Chagall windows of St. Stephen's and old city centre

Mogontiacum - Roman Mainz

This guided tour brings you to the Museum of Ancient Seafaring where you can see battleships from late Antiquity discovered during excavation work in the city centre of Mainz. You will also see the site of the Roman theatre where archaeological explorations are still in progress. Other highlights are the Cenotaph of Drusus, a Roman monument overlooking the city, the Roman Gate and the site of the Roman castle.

Magenza – Jewish Mainz

The Jewish community of Mainz with its centres of learning and culture was a major contributor to the development of Jewish faith in Western Europe. Along a walk from the cathedral following Klarastrasse to the New Synagogue and Feldbergschule, we explore the many, partly forgotten, sites of Jewish life in the city. The tour includes a visit to Mainz State Museum.
