Every week on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7 am to 2 pm, you have the opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful weekly markets in Germany in the shadow of the cathedral. In the high season, in addition to the 85 permanent stalls, you will find 20-30 daily stalls selling seasonal produce such as asparagus, strawberries and grapes.
The Mainz weekly market is looking forward to your visit. It is centrally located in Mainz city center and is also easily accessible for wheelchair users.
In addition to the weekly market at the cathedral, the wine breakfast on Saturdays from March to November is a very special highlight: Enjoy delicious, regional wines in a very special atmosphere! The Mainz winegrowers, among others, show off their skills and treat you to the best wines of the house. The wine breakfast - originally known as the market breakfast - is currently located at Tritonplatz, Leichhof and on the banks of the Rhine at Fischtor due to renovation work.
